Adam Sandler has a deep connection to the golf world, thanks to his superhit movie Happy Gilmore, which was released in 1996. Around three decades later, talks of its sequel have been in the air since last year. And finally, the confirmation came. On December 25, 2024, the official trailer of Happy Gilmore 2 launched, and the fans could not get enough of it. 

And as it seems, Happy Gilmore has already made its presence pretty significant at the second event of the PGA Tour 2025 schedule – thanks to Taylor Dickson. The rookie made his debut on the Tour at the Sony Open, and he surely is doing it with the most stylish golf bag. The 32 YO has been using a Happy Gilmore Golf bag which has been made by Swag Golf. 

He was even told that he did indeed have the best bag on the circuit z to that, he smiled and said, “Appreciate it. That’s what we were going for.” In fact, a few hours ago, the official Instagram of the PGA Tour even shared pictures of his bag. They captioned it, “There are golf bags … and then there is Taylor Dickson’s Happy Gilmore golf bag 😮‍💨”.

Well, his bag was complimented not just by the professionals present in the course, but also became the talk of the golf world.

In Happy Gilmore, the golf clubs used by Adam Sandler’s character are considered “antique” because they are an outdated, mismatched set that lack the sleek design and advanced technology of modern golf equipment. This reflects Happy’s inexperience and unconventional approach to the sport, as he starts his journey with no formal golf training and a hockey stick putter. The clubs serve as a humorous contrast to the high-end gear used by professional golfers, emphasizing Happy’s underdog status and adding to the comedic tone of the film.

The use of older, rudimentary clubs highlights his reliance on raw power and instinct over technique, aligning with the film’s theme of breaking traditional molds in the world of golf. Taking to this, one of them joked, “Careful with those clubs, they’re antique! 😂🤣❤️”.

The bag was a classic black leather one, which shone in the sunlight. It had Taylor Dickson’s name, Gilmore 18, and Happy Gilmore printed on it with yellow. This made it stand out all the more. There were a couple of yellow stripes too, and the sides just had Gilmore printed on it. It did indeed look like a style statement. Taking to this, people left comments like, “🔥🔥😍😍😍a beauty😍😍😍” and “🔥 that thing is a beauty!”

Generally, the golfing pros are spotted with the bags of the brand that they are endorsed by. And it mostly contains only the logo of the brand. Be it TaylorMade, Boss Golf, or whatever. But Taylor Dickson’s bag was a breath of fresh air in the field. Taking to this, one of them commented, “So original”. While another simply complimented him, writing, “@tdicksongolf67 just a 🐐 being a 🐐”.
