DeChambeau became the latest golfer to jump the ship to join the LIV Golf. Despite his refusal to join the Tour earlier this year, he became the latest entry alongside Patrick Reed to join the Saudi-backed Golf Tour.

USGA has allowed participants of the LIV Golf Tour to take part in the U.S. Open despite earlier warnings. However, the reaction from the fans will play a major role during the Major.

However, in the latest video shared from The Country Club, it seems DeChambeau?s fans are irate following his departure from the PGA Tour. The 2020 U.S. Open champion was seen having his first practice session ahead of the US Open, during which he had a tee shot.

All top golfers have been signing a nine figure contract with the LIV Golf. DeChambeau has reportedly signed a contract worth more than $100 million guaranteed with the Saudi-backed Golf Tour.

Compared to other golfers, DeChambeau has been open with his decision to join the LIV Golf. He calls this opportunity a great business decision and says his family was a vital factor in considering joining the Golf Tour.

The 28-year-old said, ?There was a lot of financials to it and a lot of time. I get to have a life outside of golf. It’s a business decision for my family’s future, and it gave me a lot of free time, so it cleared a lot things up for me.??With other LIV golf participants too taking part in the US Open, it will be interesting to see how fans react to them.
