The 29-year-old explained her recent adjustments to take up tennis, revealing that her body was taking a toll. She said that her ‘golf’ wardrobe was thriving on the court, but her body not so much. Further, she explained how hitting had affected her muscles which got sore.
Spiranac talks about men’s and women’s tennis
In a recent episode of her podcast, she talked about tennis and revealed why women’s tennis is more popular than men’s. She explained many VIPs prefer women’s tennis because it is more consistent than men’s. More people are likely to watch women’s tennis than men’s for this reason. She further added, “it’s funny, even if you’re watching the US Open right now, it almost seems like there’s more interest around the women’s game.”
She also appreciated Serena and said that she has been incredible. Along with the appreciation, Spiranac gave a shout-out to her retirement. According to Spiranac, people are obsessed with women’s tennis. People say that no one just wants to watch women do any athletics, but she denied it and said that was not true. Because women’s tennis is quite dominating than men’s. There are always more conversations around that them than there are around for the guys.
