Having been in the circuit for more than fifteen years, the actions of Knight left fans aghast. Fans were quick to respond with their criticism in the comments section. “Masters officials gonna take that man to the woodshed,” a user said. “Dude probably going to get banned for this,” said another.
Others found the caddie’s actions amusing. “Watering the azaleas,” a netizen claimed. “That man needs a trophy too,” said another.
The news could be a distraction for Hovland, who seeks his first-ever major championship victory. The 25-year-old has never finished inside the top 20 in his three appearances on the Augusta National, a stat he’ll be willing to change this weekend.

The sinful act is not new to the sport, with Spanish veteran Sergio Garcia caught doing the same activity in last month’s LIV Golf event. The 43-year-old, who’s also participating in the ongoing Masters, was spotted answering natural’s call amidst the cactus plants in LIV Tucson, which caught the ire of the golf community.
