Fans know that DeChambeau is one of the longest hitters on the field. The golfer has all irons of the same length in his bag. DeChambeau has surrounded his game with science and likes to take a similar approach while he is choosing balls.

Most of us buy golf balls looking at their condition, or holding them and trying to analyze their weight. Even professional players would try playing with the ball on a driving range and see how it performs. However, the player likes to take things deeper before buying them.

Golf marketing manager Elliot Mellow said, “For instance, with the 8-iron he tests full swing shots as well as figures out what happens if he chokes down, tries to take spin-off, or go with a softer swing…“He’s always looking at all the possible scenarios he would encounter on the course and getting an understanding of how the ball performs under all those conditions. Not one other PGA Tour pro does it to the extreme that Bryson does.”

DeChambeau had shared his interest in science in earlier interviews. However, no one could predict that the player would take it to such a level even in his game. Nonetheless, this could be the reason behind him hitting amazing long shots on every course.

Bryson DeChambeau’s early claims of loyalty to the PGA Tour

DeChambeau was one of the most unexpected golfers to join the LIV Golf Tour. The player even shared a tweet on his profile in February saying he would continue to play on the PGA Tour. However, he mentioned being a part of the tour as long as “the best players” are playing.

DeChambeau surprisingly left the PGA Tour and later called it a “business decision”. He joined LIV Golf and stated that it would give him some time off the field. But according to the recent lawsuits, it looks like the LIV Golf rebels do not want any time away from the course.
