The golfer made an appearance at Augusta National just three weeks after his surgery but failed to make the cut. He then appeared in Netflix’s Full Swing and expounded upon his struggles with form and injury.

Speaking about his appearance in the popular docu-series, the two-time US Open champion revealed to inews, “I was just authentically myself. I’m going to give you what I’m thinking, what I’m feeling at any one time. Most people catch me on the golf course. That is a completely different side of me.

In his interview, the golfer also shared the reason behind his dismal outing at last year’s Masters. “My competitiveness probably got the best of me, wanting to play and prove everybody wrong, prove to myself that I was okay….The surgery I had had never been done before. They pretty much told me recovery would be a year and a half. Three weeks later we were playing Augusta,” said Koepka.
