He is followed by English golfer Tommy Fleetwood who has six DP World Tour titles to his name, although he still hasn’t won on the PGA Tour. That is motivation enough for him.

The field and prize purse for Genesis Scottish Open

Since 2016, the Renaissance Club has been hosting the Genesis Scottish Open. The 18 holes are played over 4 rounds with 72 holes in total. The first two rounds will determine the top 65 players, including tied ones, who make the cut and pursue the winning crown in rounds 3 and 4.

The expanding prize money for the PGA Tour and DP World Tour this season is substantially higher than last year. As per the PGA Tour, the total prize for the Genesis Scottish Open in 2023 is $9 million.

The golfer who emerges victorious this season will not only earn 17.5% of that, which is $1.575 million but will also earn a few benefits. If he hasn’t already been exempted into the Open Championship taking place on July 20th, he will earn the exemption from the GSO. Additionally, he will also receive 500 FedEx points to boost their ranks in the PGA Tour.
