The 2025 Genesis Invitational is finally here! Scheduled from Feb 13 to 16 at the Torrey Pines South Course after being reallocated from Rivera Country Club due to LA wildfires, this signature event is one to look out for. While tournament host Tiger Woods had to unfortunately withdraw, there’s still plenty of star power in the field.
We’ve got World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler, Rory McIlroy, Justin Thomas, Jordan Spieth, and a stacked lineup ready to battle it out. The action kicks off with Seamus Power, Patrick Rodgers, and Ben Griffin starting the tournament at 9:30 a.m. ET on Thursday. Shortly after, Nick Dunlap, Tom Hoge, and Christiaan Bezuidenhout take to the course at 9:41 a.m. ET. But if you’re looking for a marquee group, circle 11:20 a.m. E.
That’s when Scheffler, Hideki Matsuyama, and Michael Kim hit the course. Can Scheffler clinch his season’s first win after a brief hiatus, or will Matsuyama bring his The Sentry magic back to the mix? We’ll find out soon enough. As of Rory McIlroy, he’ll be teeing off at 10:14 AM from the 10th tee with Viktor Hovland, and Adam Scott.

Sponsor exemptions to Rickie Fowler, and Jordan Spieth have been garnering a lot of criticism, more so the one granted to Fowler. Fans have come forward to say that sponsor exemptions should be given to the ones who deserve them, rather than handing them out to big names. Despite everything, the competition sure would be fierce. After all, at a big event like this, the stakes are also high.
What’s your perspective on:
Are sponsor exemptions fair, or do they undermine the integrity of the Genesis Invitational?
