When LIV Golf entered the golf world in 2022, everyone was talking about it. Since then, a lot has happened. Golfers left the PGA Tour and joined the Saudi-backed circuit, birthing a rivalry between the two circuits. However, pro golfer, Gary Player has some views in that direction. He has six children, is a grandfather of 22, has won nine Majors, and continues to perform 200 sit-ups each day. The youngest 87-year-old in the world has led one of the most remarkable life in sports. His words and views matter a lot when it comes to golfers switching Tours.

Gary Player revealed his beliefs regarding the Tour switch of the golfers

The South African retired professional golfer talked to the Daily Mail about his pick for the Masters 2023. However, in the midst of that, he also talked about the players choosing the LIV Golf League. Bryson DeChambeau has received an invitation to play at Masters along with Sergio Garcia. LIV defectors have been wanting to play on the PGA Tour so that they can get OWGR points. But Player is not happy about it. Despite his opposition, he respects the choices made.

Regarding the players wanting to come back on the American Tour, Player said, “I believe once you’ve decided that’s your tour, you should not be allowed to come back and play regular tournaments.”

He was not supporting the switch game in the golf world. However, the Masters will bring all frontiers together again, the old and the new. Next month is going to be an important one, as the LIV Golfers will also be present at Augusta this year. The fans are waiting so are we. But eventually, everything went to LIV Golf in the interview.

He does not, however, hold those who changed Tours accountable. The majority of those who quit think they can no longer succeed on the regular circuit. Player said Louis Oosthuizen has never won a tournament in America but is undoubtedly the most gentlemanly golfer he has ever encountered. He will thus accept the payment. The pro was astonished that Dustin Johnson and Cameron Smith accepted the money deal, but it was their decision.
