Gary Player is a quite active social media user. The veteran golfer always provides an insight into his life through his social media posts. Moreover, recently the Dark Knight wrote a heartwarming and emotional post on his Instagram account. It was truly an amazing gesture by Player that fans all around appreciated.

Gary Player shares a beautiful Instagram post
The South African professional and the World Golf Hall of Fame member recently shared a beautiful post on his official Instagram account, on the occasion of Women’s History Month. The following is being celebrated throughout the entire month of March. Hence, Gary player acknowledged the contribution of female professionals to the sport of golf in light of the same.

The 86-year-old professional shared some iconic pictures of himself with some of the most incredible female professionals; Notably, Annika Sorenstam, Alison Lee, Charley. Hull and Anna Nordqvist were a few among the many.

However, what was even more emotional than the pictures themselves was the caption. Player poured his heart out and penned down a truly emotional acknowledgment, paying tribute to female professionals.
The captain said, “In honor of #WomensHistoryMonth I would like to take a moment to commend and celebrate the women of golf – past and present – who have broken barriers and helped grow the game for future generations. It’s fantastic to see more girls getting involved in golf and it is exciting to see the heights the Ladies’ game will reach.”
Truly, Gary is a true gentleman and an admirer of the sport.

Player posts an emotional message for his wife
Notably, this was not the first Gary penned down his emotions online. The South African wrote yet another emotional message for his Wife Vivienne Verwey on their 65th wedding anniversary. Vivienne passed away in 2021, losing a hard-fought battle to pancreatic cancer. Now, she lives in the memories of Gary, who took to Instagram to honor the legacy she has left behind.

The message said, “Missing my beloved Vivienne a bit extra today on the 65th anniversary of our wedding. Life is not the same without her, but I am so grateful for the 70+ years we were able to share and the wonderful life we were able to build together. She was the greatest wife and mother to our children I could have asked for. I love you, Viv.”
