Bryson DeChambeau’s love for distance and ball speed is a well-known fact around the golf world. He was a part of the World Long Drive Championship last year, looking happier than he was ever been. Of course, DeChambeau has been indulgent of the same, often sharing his progress or view with supportive fans.

The 28-year-old is currently playing at the Sentry Tournament of Champions. Unlike other PGA Tour events, this one invites previous year’s winners to play. It is a guaranteed field of entertainment, especially as the tour’s best come together for four days.

While winning must certainly be on his mind, DeChambeau also chose to highlight his ball speed. “200 mph ball speed felt easy today. Let’s see what I have in the tank tomorrow,” he wrote.

It is clear that DeChambeau wants to focus on his speed, eager to share the same with his fans.

One can say that everyone’s reaction was indeed interesting. Many wondered why DeChhambeau was even sharing this with everyone. Others supported their favorite golfer, even complimenting his swing and methods.

“You should try getting the lowest score,” wrote one user. DeChambeau’s fans replied under that comment, stating that while he is not everyone’s cup of tea, he has indeed proved himself with his major win.

“Some guys try to win tournaments, others nail 200mph ball speed,” wrote another fan. People added that ball speed is indeed a huge part of DeChambeau’s game, and the young golfer was 1st in Strokes Gained off the tee ‘by a huge margin’ in 2021.

People also complimented his new driver. Some fans clarified that the speed was actually 199, and not 200.
