“Golf is evolving, every day, every shot”, said Tiger Woods once. While Mr. T might not possess the prowess to be on the top if you judge him by his recent performances (two missed cuts, one withdrawal, and a 60 finish at the Masters), he used to rule the sport back in the 1990s and 2000s. With a record of winning fifteen Majors in his career and a total of 82 career wins, he has the second-highest number of Major wins. He invented the Tiger Slam, having won all four majors at one point or the other!

And well, even for people who knew nothing about golf, Tiger Woods was a familiar ring to their ears. Now it looks as if the LIV Golfers have taken over the 82X PGA Tour Champion’s responsibility of leaving an impact on people about the sport, and continually making it grow.

In a recent turn of events, a picture was posted by the official X account of the LIV Golf Nation. Two people were seen enjoying quality time with each other in front of a food van, and guess what was spotted? The man was seen wearing a 4 Aces shirt. The Dustin Johnson team features Pat Perez, Patrick Reed, and Harold Varner III.

This is the evidence that once again establishes that they are indeed making more people aware of the game of golf. Comparing them to the Tiger of the game, the LIV Golf Nation also wrote, “Dustin Johnson, P Reed, and LIV Golf are growing the game at a rate not seen since the emergence of Tiger Woods!”

While the breakaway league might be huge on the 2023 team champion of the year, the golf community begs to differ in the matter.

The golf community mocks Liv’s Tiger Woods comparison!

LIV Golf League was created by Greg Norman back in 2022. It had its first Invitational game back on June 9 that year. While the breakaway league has been trying hard to make it big among golfing fans, the PGA Tour already has players like Tiger Woods, Scottie Scheffler, and other favorites. The league does not yet have a broadcasting membership either so far, which makes it have comparatively lesser viewership, even among the PGA Tour’s supposed decreases in it.

Furthermore, LIV Golf has also been battling to take the OWGR score under the wing, which every PGA Tour event winner gets, but there has been no hope so far. Taking to all these struggles, one of the fans, taking a jab at the league, commented, “Lmfaooooooo LIV is not growing. Relax.” While another, dubbed the post as a joke rather than a serious compliment, and commented, “That’s some funny sh*t.”

The man that was wearing the 4 Aces white and blue striped shirt was a rather old man. And according to the golf community, LIV Golf can be enjoyed only by the retired gang. Additionally, they have also been able to take away players who are old from the Jay Monahan league. Taking to this, one of them sarcastically commented, “I thought LIV was for the younger hip cool market segment who watch it on an app. This chap is the reality for LiV.”

The Saudi-backed league has time and again been criticized for its 54-hole format. Additionally, LIV Golf is famous among the fans for its party holes during the championship, and also the celebrations that take place before and after the event. They are more often than not mocked for being more into swag and decorations than having a proper game by a lot of the people in the golf world.

It also had one of its events in the party city of the world Las Vegas back in February. Taking to all the grandeurs and arrangements, one of them commented, “I’ve seen tons of Liv swag since the event held in Vegas. It’s super expensive though”.

While 4 Aces GC was the winning team last year, its performance seems to have deteriorated to a great extent this year. In the LIV Golf standings, the team led by Dustin Johnson is at the bottom four of the list (10). They only have an average score of 38 this season. Taking to this, one of them even commented, “Embarrassing, the Aces stink”.
