Tiger Woods is widely considered the greatest golfer of all time. It is always a dream for all professional golfers to at least achieve half of what he has in their career. Therefore, the probability of them considering him as their favorite golfer is high. However, the retired professional golfer, Paige Spiranac doesn’t have the same opinion. 

Recently, Spiranac revealed her favorite golfer through social media. She disclosed it with her fans and followers during a Q&A session through Instagram Stories. And one of the questions among them was about the most interesting pro golfer she has met.

“I’ve been so lucky to play with a ton of amazing pro golfers,” Spiranac said. “But my favorite, and I recently played with him, was Darren Clarke,” she added. 

Darren Clarke is an Irish golfer and currently plays on the PGA Tour Champions. Turned pro in 1990, Clarke has won 21 championship titles worldwide. Notably, he has won three important titles on the PGA Tour, including the 2001 and 2003 WGC and 2011 Open Championship. 

Additionally, he has played in the Ryder Cup for Team Europe five times and was even appointed as the captain for the 2016 event. He also has represented his country in the world cup three times.

Spiranac revealed through the Q&A that she met Clarke through a tournament and got to know him. “An absolute legend,” Spiranac had nothing but praise for Clarke. “He was funny, charismatic, personable, and had the best stories.” 

Has Paige Spiranac ever played golf with Tiger Woods? 

Paige Spiranac has played with Tiger Woods once. Although she named another golfer as her favorite now, she was over the moon when she got to play with the 15-time major winner. 

Spiranac and Woods played together during ‘Tiger Jam,’ an annual fundraising event that the TGR Foundation conducts. The former professional golfer turned social media influencer attended the event in 2018, where she not only played but received chipping lessons from the Tour pro.

Her Instagram post from the ‘Tiger Jam’ suggests that she admires Woods. Furthermore, she has constantly been supportive since Woods made a comeback through the Masters after a year break due to an accident.

Nevertheless, she named Darren Clarke as her favorite tour golfer. And it is his charismatic yet funny persona that made Spiranac his fan.
