It’s raining aces around the world in 2025! And we’re not talking about the hole-in-one challenge at the Wynn Al Marjan Island. Although the DP World Tour’s exhibition contest was exciting, the PGA Tour and LIV Golf have been delivering far more compelling stories in their tournaments.
From huge cheers to wild celebrations, professional golf has been a part of so far in 2025. And fans are enjoying every bit of it. Having said that, some aces have stood out from the rest due to various factors. So let’s find out who has hit the best hole-in-ones this year.

The ace on the path to victory
Out of every player that has hit an ace by February 16, 2025, only Rory McIlroy has managed to turn it into a title victory. Playing his 6th hole in the first round of the 2025 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, the Irishman was teeing off from the 15th hole of the Spyglass Hill Golf Course. He had already gone 1-under par and was aiming to get as close to the hole as he could to improve his score. Little did he know that the ball would directly drop in the cup, giving him one of the most amazing fly-in aces fans have ever seen. That set the stage for Rory McIlroy to gain the confidence he needs to dominate the tournament and win the 2025 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am tournament.
Party on the course
If you ever thought that golf was boring then you might have never witnessed the scenes at the 16th hole of TPC Scottsdale. The WM Phoenix Open is always considered to have the “rowdiest” crowds in the PGA Tour calendar, and it was no different this year. Emiliano Grillo received the best reception from them after he aced his second-round effort on February 7, 2025. The ball flew directly towards the cup and rimmed it before sinking in. That led to the crowd erupting in joy as they threw their beers from the skyboxes onto the tee zone. Grillo was also ecstatic about the excellent stroke as he threw his club in the air and ran around in celebration.
Rolling back into action
Ludvig Aberg hasn’t had a particularly great start to the 2025 season. The 25-year-old star has been inconsistent across the last few events and also had a minor injury at the 2025 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. But he is still one of the best golfers in the world and his performances at the Genesis Invitational have proven that. Aberg had a disappointing first round where he finished 2-over par 74. However, he made an incredible comeback in the second round. The weather in the penultimate round didn’t favor Aberg much except for his third-hole effort. The Swede dug the ball at the back of the hole from the tee, only for it to roll back down and drop for an ace. Aberg received a loud cheer from the team at the tee zone as he enthusiastically celebrated his stroke.
Mayhem at the Watering Hole
Much like TPC Scottsdale, The Grange Golf Club is also a wild party spot for every golf enthusiast. The Watering Hole on the 12th in Adelaide is reminiscent of the 16th hole’s atmosphere at the Arizona golf course. Patrick Reed experienced the wild nature of the skyboxes around the tee zone when he sunk his first-round effort. As expected, the 34-year-old exuberantly celebrated his beautiful shot. The crowd around him also joined in pouring a ridiculous amount of beer on the course. Looking at the video, it almost seems like it was raining in Adelaide due to the beer shower on the course.

Captain leading from the front
Many have criticized Keegan Bradley‘s claim that he is in the form of his life and can definitely play as the playing captain in the 2025 Ryder Cup. Fans weren’t convinced by his statement judging by his performances in recent tournaments. However, Bradley’s final-round effort at the 2025 Genesis Invitational might prove everyone wrong.

The 38-year-old drove off the tee zone towards the hole 155 yards away. Much like Ludvig Aberg’s shot, Bradley also aimed to hit the back of the hole that had a bit of a rise. The ball jumped back from the green and rolled toward the cup to give the Team U.S. captain an ace. After a few high-fives to celebrate the amazing shot, Bradley bent down in disbelief at what he had just achieved.
So, these were some of the best hole-in-ones in the 2025 season so far. Although honorable mentions go out to other efforts like Shane Lowry‘s Pebble Beach Golf Links ace, Kris Ventura‘s 208-yard accurate shot at the Pete Dye Stadium Course, and Sami Valimaki‘s banger in the American Express. Which one of these was your favorite to watch in 2025? Let us know in the comments section.
