The reporter can be heard asking about the book excerpt that came out concerning Mickelson, and Rory McIlroy says, “At least, he can bet on the Ryder Cup this year because he won’t be playing.” And Ostrom has shared it with the caption, “Making fun of someone’s addiction seems…pathetic.”

The excerpt here refers to Billy Walters’ book, Gambler: Secrets from a Life at Risk. It is scheduled to release on 22nd August, 2023. Walters was Phil Mickelson’s partner in his gambling days. The excerpt reveals that Lefty placed a wager worth $400,000 on US Team in 2012 Ryder Cup and had close to $1 Billon on different sports.
