For those unaware, Patrick Reed is currently one of the only four American players to have received an honorary lifetime membership to the European Tour. It is certainly safe to call this a major achievement, considering that the other three legends to receive the honor include Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer, and Tom Watson.

Not to mention, the golf star won the 2018 Masters Tournament and made his name known to millions of fans worldwide. After receiving the huge honor, Reed said, “For the European Tour to have faith in me and give me this opportunity means everything.” After all, it was a pretty unexpected yet massive decision on the tour’s part.

However, the current scenario between Reed and the DP World Tour is not as good as it was back in 2019. After his controversial LIV Golf decision, the golfer has certainly parted ways with the Tour.
