There’s hardly any moment in the sport of golf that goes unnoticed by Paige Spiranac. Being the biggest social media entity in the sport, she has her take on every happening in golf. Throwback to last year’s Masters, when Bryson DeChambeau’s insane golf swing during the practice session received criticism from many, including Spiranac.



Ahead of the 2021 Masters, DeChambeau was prepping in the hope of his second Major win. In the practice session at Augusta National, the Scientist’s golf swing caught everyone off guard and received various reactions on the internet.

Among many, came an opinion from Spiranac, who told the 2020 US Open winner to avoid adopting new techniques and stick to his 2019 golf swings. Let’s take a look at what the social media influencer meant with her message.

Paige Spiranac wanted the 2019 Bryson DeChambeau back

Following DeChambeau’s viral golf swing clip, Spiranac shared her reaction on Twitter. She tweeted, “Less of this and more replaying the 2019 Masters”. The social media influencer was referring to DeChambeau’s almost hole-in-one at Augusta National in 2019.

During the 2019 Masters, DeChambeau surprised everyone by giving the biggest highlight of the Major. In the 16th hole, the 29-year-old was about to score the first ace of his career but fell just short ahead of the hole. Moreover, he completed the first round with an impressive 66.

Though DeChambeau failed to win the Major, his performance was mesmerizing enough to elevate his name in the sport. Two years later, as he displayed his new golf swing ahead of the 2021 Masters, many wanted the old DeChambeau back. Later, he completed the Major tied to the 34th position.

The 29-year-old is known for having one of the strongest tee shots in the sport currently. DeChambeau’s controversial training regime’s main objective is about building speed – and possibly distance. However, some fans are worried about the damage such whiplash whirling could have on the big-hitting Scientist’s body. Like many, Spiranac too must have been concerned about the golfer.
