Donald Trump recently showed support towards LIV Golf

Greg Norman has seen the world go against him after he introduced the idea of LIV Golf to the world. However, there are always a few people who support you no matter what you do. And for Norman, it has been his old friend and former POTUS Donald Trump. The ex-president has been displaying his support ever since the LIV Golf league came into existence.

And adding to the amount of support, Trump has again stepped in to host LIV Golf’s upcoming Miami event at his golf course. A recent post on Twitter mentioned that “Next week’s [LIVGolf] Team Championship in Miami” will be played at the Trump National Doral golf course. The event will feature a total of $50 million as prize money and will go on between October 28-30.

Trump called out PGA Tour players to join LIV Golf

Donald Trump has not only shown support towards LIV but has also made bold statements against the PGA tour. The ex-president once called out the few remaining PGA Tour players to leave the PGA Tour and join LIV Golf for their own good. “All of those golfers that remain ‘loyal’ to the very disloyal PGA, will pay a big price when the inevitable MERGER with LIV comes,” Trump said.

According to him, the two tours will have to work together at some point in time to survive. And that the PGA Tour players will have to suffer when the same happens. He also tried to lure them in with lucrative offers and said, “If you don’t take the money now, you will get nothing after the merger takes place.”

His words might make sense to players if a merger is actually formed between the two leagues. The amount of money LIV Golf is offering currently might not be as much if the two tours shake hands.
