The Saudi-backed LIV Golf Invitational Series has been in the news for quite some time now. CEO Greg Norman has successfully gathered some of the most talented golfers to join his league. However, there are still a few big names who are completely against the LIV Golf series, and are supporters of the former PGA Tour. Former President Donald Trump, on the other hand, has publicly supported the LIV Golf on several occasions. Donald Trump also recently gave Patrick Reed a compliment about his swing. Reed is one of the latest players to join the LIV Golf League.

Donald Trump compliments Patrick Reed
In a recent event, Trump was driven by Patrick Reed while the golfer was on the field. Trump looked at Reed and said, “Hey, Patrick, you’re the greatest.” That swing… that’s worth a couple hundred million dollars.” The news of Trump complimenting Reed on his swing went viral after Golf Digest writer Daniel Rapaport tweeted about it.
Fans have been giving all kinds of reactions to the tweet since it was posted. Almost everyone who read it was taken aback by what Trump had said. A person even said, “Neither of those things are remotely true.” Here are some reactions to the tweet:

There's nobody I can think of who I'd want to assess my swing more than Donald Trump. That must mean a lot. 😐

Trump praises Saudi Arabia for investing in LIV Golf
Trump said that what Saudi Arabia is “doing for golf is so great”. He stated, “I’ve known these people for a long time in Saudi Arabia; they’ve been friends of mine for a long time.” Trump also talked about how Saudi Arabia has invested in many American companies.

“I think it’s going to be an incredible investment from that standpoint,” he continued, “and that’s more valuable than a lot of other things because you can’t buy that—even with billions of dollars.” He completely ignored the fact that families of 9/11 attack victims are vehemently opposed to his decision to host LIV events at his golf clubs.
LIV Golf sparked controversy the day it successfully lured players like Phil Mickelson and Brooks Koepka to join in. No one could have imagined that LIV Golf could pose such a big threat to the PGA Tour. But people’s perspectives changed after Greg Norman brought in the big purses and payouts with the help of Saudi Arabia.
