We all are well aware of the love Donald Trump has for the game of golf. The former President plays golf frequently and even owns several golf courses around the world. Trump has so much love for the sport that he once disclosed playing the best golf is the talent he is keenly interested in. Today, we look back at the interview from 2004, where he showed his admiration toward Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, and Ernie Els.

The Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster is all set to host the third tournament of LIV Golf. After hosting the upcoming event in New Jersey, Trump’s golf course in Miami, popularly known as Blue Monster, will host the final tournament of LIV Golf.
Long before becoming the 45th president of the United States, Donald Trump gave a quick interview to Vanity Fair. Back in 2004, his popular TV show The Apprentice had just piloted with its first season.
Which talent would Donald Trump like to have?
During the interview, Trump was asked short personal questions, to which he replied with no hesitation for the Vanity Fair magazine.

When asked which talent would he like to have, Trump replied, “To be able to play golf like Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, or Ernie Els”. Undoubtedly, all golfers mentioned by the former POTUS have made an impact in the game. Additionally, the statement also depicts the affection Donald Trump has for golf.

The Billionaire has great relationships with all the golfers. Woods received the Presidential Medal of Freedom from his frequent golf partner Donald Trump. Moreover, Tiger’s golf designing company TGR Design is working together with the Trump Organization to open a golf club in Dubai.
Trump has also shared his admiration for Lefty several times in recent years too. With rumors swirling around of the former POTUS’ involvement in LIV Golf, we’ll see the two more frequently together going ahead. Ernie Els, a 4-time Major champion, has also been seen playing golf with the billionaire on several occasions.
Trump acknowledged the talent of these golfers back in 2004. And now, all three have earned their place in the World Golf Hall of Fame. Moreover, the combined total of Majors won by all three stars is 25, which is astounding.
