Everyone in the world has a flaw, or else they are not human. But, when it comes to one’s favorite sports entities, nobody would want to admit they have some. However, when an old coach of Tiger Woods nitpicked one of his flaws, nobody could argue with him; because it was true.

Hank Haney has trained over 200 PGA Tour professionals in his coaching career. Although he had taught many, one of them was the most important among all; Tiger Woods. He was Woods’ golf instructor from 2004 to 2010. Woods won six major championships with Haney as his coach.

But, what is one thing that Haney thought was the biggest flaw of the golf legend? Although it is unlikely that the Woods would have any, Haney claims he is the worst among all the others in this aspect.

What is the biggest flaw of Tiger Woods?

Haney was talking in the GOLF’s Subpar podcast when he revealed Woods’ biggest flaw he had seen throughout the period he trained him.

According to Haney, Tiger was just flawless in the driving range. He explained that he never thought anybody could ever beat him when he watched Tiger hit shots at the driving range. He added, “There’s just no possible way, and honestly, he wasn’t nearly as good on the course. Nobody is.”

A driving range is where the golfers use to practice different shots. The golfers can tee off their shots, chip shots, practice their short game, and work on their golf swings with a golf professional there.

Haney further explained that he had trained 200 and more pros, and Woods is the worst in this aspect. He said, “On the driving range, you would think there is no way this guy could ever lose!” That’s the thing when I say of all the players I’ve ever coached he’s the worst at taking it from the practice tee to the course, that’s a compliment,” Haney added.

Haney picked Woods’ inability to perform what he does on the driving range on the golf course as his biggest flaw. In summary, Woods’ fault Haney has found frustrating is that he is “way too good” at the driving range and only “good” at the golf course.
