Golf’s first major championship, the Masters, is approaching quickly, and with it, many questions have arisen. One of the most pressing queries that the fans have is about the field of the event. And rightly so; after all, there have been many questions raised about LIV golfers taking the field. Fans have been wondering about their favorite LIV Golf players being eligible to compete at the majors, and of course, Bryson DeChambeau is among those big names. Find out with us whether the one-time major winner can take the field at Augusta next month, having defected over to the other side last year.
Bryson DeChambeau and his chances of playing at Augusta
Last summer, the 2020 US Open champion joined several other PGA Tour stars and jumped ship. The long driver is certainly eligible to compete for the green jacket next month, but does he have a shot at winning it? DeChambeau’s performances of late have not been questionable when compared to his form three years ago. He tied for 23rd at LIV’s second-season inaugural event and was placed 44th at its second event in Tucson. But that being said, he is still considered a top player!
The American golf star has had some good days too. His team, the Crushers GC, won 2023 LIV Golf’s inaugural team event. And despite his recent unsatisfying performances fans have seen glimpses of excellence. But of course, he’s up against the best of the best, so it certainly will be no cakewalk.
