Annika Sorenstam and her husband, Mike McGee, top the list when it comes to fun golf couples. They are an amazing couple who love golf, and their kids are walking on the same path. Their son Will McGee is all set to become a future golf star. After all, he is being trained by the GOAT herself. Recently, the McGee family celebrated Will’s birthday. And guess who was invited to the party? Hint is it is related to a LIV Golf League player.

Annika Sorenstam and Mike McGee celebrated their little star

On 21 March 2011, Sorenstam gave birth to a son, William Nicholas McGee. And recently, the couple celebrated his birthday at Topgolf. Will’s older sister had some friends over. Mike posted the update on Twitter and said, “We are celebrating Will’s birthday at @Topgolf today.@avamcgee2009 brought some friends too. Three of these boys who have dads who have won on the @PGATOUR. Fun stuff! @ANNIKA59 @CallawayGolf” He was talking about none other than Ian Poulter.

Will, a golf prodigy, also shared an Instagram story of him swinging his clubs. He tagged Poulter’s son Joshua James Poulter in the story. It was indeed fun. The family celebrated Will’s birthday in his own style, and it was commendable. Not everyone loves the sport of golf, but these kids are far, far away from not loving golf, and choosing to play golf on their birthday is the perfect example.

Since LIV Golf came into the picture, it has divided the golf world into two parts. One who supports the Saudi-backed circuit and others who firmly stand against it. But these things do not matter to the innocent souls of the kids. Will, in fact, is an amazing golfer in the making. He once took training from the senior pro-Lee Trevino. He taught the kid a trick to always win bets. However, asked him to never reveal it to his mother.

Annika Sorenstam, who won 10 major championships and is regarded as one of the greatest LPGA players ever, retired from the competition in 2008. She did, however, make a 13-year come back and win the 2021 U.S. Senior Women’s Open. Her son Will served as her inspiration.

The turning point occurred when Sorenstam triumphed on the 18th hole. Her then 11-year-old son was with her. The sight of her little child at the last hole was particularly memorable for the seasoned golfer. Will started crying after his mother’s victory, which made Sorenstam emotional.
