It was the ultimate showdown on the virtual golf course: Paige Spiranac, the gorgeous golfer known for her impressive swing and killer outfits, faced off against PGA Tour winner Max Homa. But things didn’t quite go as planned for Spiranac when she tried to pull a fast one on Homa by sneaking in a mulligan. Let’s see what led to the hilarious exchange of tweets between the two.

Paige Spiranac sliding a mulligan to Max Homa

You know how it is when two friends are chilling and playing together—they pull each other’s legs on every teeny tiny thing. That’s exactly what Max did when the embarrassed Paige tried to slam him with a mulligan. If you are wondering what a mulligan is, then it is essentially a do-over shot that is sometimes allowed in friendly matches but forbidden in professional golf. Clearly, Spiranac was hoping to take advantage of the looser rules in her friendly match with Homa.

Spiranac realised that it was a bad shot as soon as she hit it. With the complete intent of pulling her leg, Max said, “Oh no! That’s really good…Oh no! It hit a tree!” Taking advantage of the situation, Spiranac said to Max, “You know what? Where’s the mulligan then!” Spiranac was left pouting on the virtual tee box, hoping her attempt to break the rules was successful. The two could not stop laughing at how poor the shot was.

Funny Interaction between Paige and Max

Max Homa shared the video of the incident with the world on Twitter last year to commemorate this day. Spiranac bullied Max in the comments section of Homa’s tweet about the incident. “Let’s not forget your mulligan right before this.” But being his witty self, Homa insisted that he had no memory of such a thing. “I do not recall that ever happening,” he said.

Well, the question remains unanswered. Did Max take a mulligan? Well, Spiranac will have to come up with his video of being caught in action. But till then, how about we call this round a draw and move on to the next one, shall we? After all, it’s just two friends pulling each other’s leg.
