The TGL has hit its fourth week, and the big showdown we’ve all been waiting for is finally here—Tiger Woods vs. Rory McIlroy, the co-founders of TGL. After a tough loss to Los Angeles Golf Club in Week 2, Jupiter Link is finally finding its rhythm. They pulled off a solid 4-3 win, and the hero of the match was clearly Tom Kim. While the match had its fair share of drama, we bet there were a few moments you might have missed. Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered!

The last match saw a lot of back and forth from the viewers. Whether it was Billy Horschel’s “dirty bird” dance that had people cringing, or Patrick Cantlay getting booed for being boring during the round. And we can’t forget Kevin Kisner’s bunker shot that had even Tiger Woods rolling with laughter. TGL is certainly keeping everyone on their toes, and this match was no exception, giving us even more moments to discuss.

But, while you’re probably aware of the biggest highlights, let’s take a moment to reflect on some of the smaller, yet equally entertaining, moments you may have missed.

1. Tiger Woods talking to mom

Remember during the second match when Tiger’s mom, Kultida, was on the sidelines, cheering him on? Well, she was back again this time, supporting her son and witnessing his team grab the win. But the best part? Well, this time we saw, Woods waving at his mother from the course and saying, “Hi Mom, not gonna suck tonight.”

And well, he didn’t. It was a complete turnaround from his last match, where things went south quickly. LAGC had a 5-0 lead by the 4th hole, and it wasn’t exactly Tiger’s best day. But this time, he was on point—and you could tell Kultida was loving every moment of it!

2. New gear found in the bag

When it comes to golf, we all know it’s about more than just the swings—it’s also about the gear. Tom Kim was on fire during his match, not just because of his performance, but also because he’s got some serious gear game. Rocking a full Titleist setup, Kim brought the heat with his 9° Titleist GT3 driver, and it was clear he knew what worked for him. And then there’s the Scotty Cameron Studio Style Newport 2 putter, which turned out to be the real game-saver. It came through in the clutch when Kevin Kisner almost ruined everything.

3. Tom Kim gave brutal feedback on TGL right in front of Tiger Woods

Kim’s game was surely on the spot today. He almost made a hole-in-one on hole 12 and then nailed a clutch birdie putt on hole 7 to keep the match tied. His performance was definitely a highlight.

But not everything went smoothly for him. Kim wasn’t too happy with how the simulator was reading his putts. At one point, golf journalist Christopher Powers caught Kim venting his frustration, and of course, it didn’t go unnoticed. But the main highlight is that he said it all right in front of Tiger Woods, leader of the team! Now that’s a bit awkward.

4. Rory McIlroy gave a high-five to Donald Trump’s granddaughter

Rory McIlroy definitely made a fan’s day when he gave a high-five to Kai Trump. Kai Trump was right here for the last match supporting Woods’s team donning a Sunday Red hoodie, but after that high five from the World No. 3, who could blame her for considering a change of allegiance—just for a moment, of course! While McIlroy’s team didn’t grab the win, that high five from the World No. 3 probably made Kai’s day a whole lot better

5. Tiger Woods’s High-five to Charlie Woods

Remember how Tiger Woods always made sure to show up for his son Charlie’s matches, even when he wasn’t feeling his best? Well, it turns out the feeling is mutual. Charlie‘s not one to miss his dad’s performance either—well, at least when it comes to the TGL. We’ve seen him show up for every match so far, even making an appearance during Woods’s debut at Sofi-Center.

But here’s the sweet part: when Woods walked in, he gave Charlie a high five and said, “Good job, son.” Just goes to show, that no matter where the game’s at, the Woods have got each other’s backs.

TGL’s next match will be between Boston Common Golf and Los Angeles Golf Club on February 4.
