The strong field at the 2022 Players Championship
As the 2022 Arnold Palmer invitational is just into its final two rounds, PGA Tour gears up for another exciting week at the Players Championship. The event is going to take place at the beautiful yet tough Stadium Course at TPC Sawgrass, which is famous for its island green. The par three at the 17th hole is probably one of the toughest par threes’ on tour.
Moreover, golf fans are guaranteed an exciting next week and can see their favorite professional compete it out. The defending champion, Justin Thomas is also a part of the field at the event.

The field next week includes the top 30 players in FedEx Cup Standings. As a result, becoming the first event of the 2021-2022 season to include the top 30 professionals. It also includes 48 of the top 50 professionals in the Official World Golf Rankings. 109 PGA Tour winner, with a combined 423 PGA Tour titles.

The field also includes 123 out of 125 professionals who qualified for the 2021 FedEx Cup playoffs, making it the most in any tournament in the FedEx Cup era. Eight past Players Champions as well as eight of the past FedEx Cup winner, are also a part of the field. Only Harris English, Phil Mickelson, Tiger Woods, and Steve Stricker qualified but are not playing the event. As a result, proving how strong the field will be next week at the Stadium Course.
Prize money at stake next week
The total prize money pool next week at the Stadium Course in TPC Sawgrass is a whopping $20,00,000 million. The winner of the 2022 Players Championship will take home a prize money share worth $3,600,000 million. Wow! that is a lot of money to play for.
