After winning the Mizuho Americas Open, Zhang became the second woman in history to win her debut tournament. After that, her career graph has been on the rise. This week she is performing at the CPKC Women’s Open at the Shaughnessy Golf Course in Vancouver, British Columbia.
During the event press conference, Zhang opened up about how recent success is making her feel very positive. In a statement shared by the LPGA on Instagram, she said, “There’s no words to describe how blessed and thankful I am to be able to be on this stage and playing the sport that I love. If anything it makes me wanna go out there and not only do my best on the golf course but even off the golf course.
She continues, “Making sure that I am doing everything I can to become my best self. And be someone that other people can look up to and feel encouraged to play this game. That’s all I really want.”
