“The smell of hot dogs are just making me gag right now,” expressed Paige Spiranac with a mouthful of the food. The diva was teasing a 4th of July ‘surprise’ that she had in store for her followers, just like she had done back in 2022. But failing to finish the weiners in 10 minutes drove her to respond that way while dropping the same. Now, almost a week later, it appears the model has decided to take up the challenge!
Spiranac shared a tweet on her X handle (previously Twitter) divulging her plans for the challenge while posing a question to her fans. She said, “I’m doing it. I’m really doing it. Attempting to see how many hotdogs I can eat in 10 minutes again this year. What’s your guess?”

The initial tease came after the unfortunate news of 16-time champion and competitive eating legend Joey Chestnut, not taking part in the annual Fourth of July event. He was banned from Nathan’s hot dog eating contest this season for signing an endorsement deal with rival brand Impossible Foods.
Spiranac, meanwhile, took to hint at her followers with a photo of herself in front of a plate of hot dogs: “So excited for you to see all the July 4th content I have planned for you plus a surprise.” The blonde American also shared a video of her gobbling up as many weiners as she could in just 10 minutes, ultimately failing to do so at the end. Meanwhile, coming back to the present, the tweet shared by the 31-year-old sent the community into a frenzy, to say the least.

Netizens exude support for Paige Spiranac’s hotdog-eating challenge
The internet is rarely a good place and Spiranac knows it better than most. She has, as a result, responded to the various comments and lewd criticisms made at her, including the time when an online user called her a “talentless attention wh***.” Some of her fans, consequently, dished out reactions of concern while expressing their support for her challenge, as they said, “I don’t know but don’t get sick and make sure you’re not being watched by perverts,” and “Be careful, don’t overdo it and get sick!!!! we love our Paige!”
In the video that she shared following Joey Chestnut’s snub, the golfer was spotted struggling after reaching her sixth hotdog. She then gave some to her pet dog to help out. “It was like these huge chunks and I did not know what to do, so that was not fun,” confessed Spiranac as she expressed her inability to go past the six mark. A couple of fans, accordingly, responded to her new tweet while hinting at the same. They commented, “I give you six, solid,” and “Six! Go, Paige!” Another follower, however, even offered to take up her challenge if she goes past double her current limit: “I will take over 12.5”

76 hot dogs in 10 minutes. Will Paige Spiranac be able to beat this record that the champ, Joey Chestnut, holds? That is exactly what her fans were intrigued by as she made the latest revelation on the internet. A user on X advised, “Hand it over, hot dog king! The record of last year is in sight, for sure. My prediction is this: you will smash your PB (personal best) and be in the high 20s, maybe even getting close to that magical TF2 figure of 30! The key is to take your time, keep hydrated, and make a plan for the post-hot dog food coma you are sure to have.” Curiously, she might be able to achieve it if she sticks with her “plan of one at a time,” instead of downing two dogs at once: “The first part was just the density of it, I just had so much in my mouth that I could not swallow and that was the hardest part. It was like these huge chunks and I did not know what to do, so that was not fun.”
If there’s one thing that she is capable of doing better than the challenge, it’s taking care of the online hate. So her admirers wouldn’t need to worry too much on that front. But the challenge is something to watch out for!
