The fire is rising in the golf world, and it seems like the target this time is none other than Bryson DeChambeau. Recent reports have been circulating that he’s planning to ditch LIV Golf and return to the PGA Tour next season. But, let’s set the record straight – those rumors are completely false! DeChambeau himself has come out swinging, shutting down the speculation and reaffirming his commitment to LIV Golf. “No, I’m very excited about the future of LIV Golf. I’m very excited to be the captain of the Crushers and continue our legacy that we’re starting to create,” he said.

DeChambeau’s passion for LIV Golf is undeniable, and he’s not shy about his ambitions for the league. “That’s my goal, is to create this lasting legacy where we impact millions and millions of golfers’ lives around the world. That should tell you everything you should know,” he declared. He’s also optimistic about the future of LIV Golf, predicting exponential growth in the years to come.

“I continue to see LIV Golf growing. It’s going to grow at an exponentiating pace for years to come, and we aren’t going anywhere,” he confidently stated. However, DeChambeau’s strong words haven’t entirely convinced everyone. Fans are mad at him, not because of his loyalty to LIV Golf but because they believe he shared the same sentiment when he was on the PGA Tour. Many are questioning whether his words are genuine or just a clever move.

Netizens express their opinions on DeChambeau’s words

One fan said, “Same guy who said he was loyal to the tour until he wasn’t? Is the word of these guys worth anything?”, while the other said, “Means absolutely nothing….he said the same thing about leaving the tour…and then he left.”

What’s your perspective on:

Is Bryson DeChambeau's loyalty to LIV Golf genuine, or just another strategic move?

Have an interesting take?

Well, undoubtedly DeChambeau is trying to play it safe with his recent comments on going back to the PGA Tour, but the same wasn’t the case when the question came to Tiger Woods’ TGL league. During his recent visit to India, DeChambeau was asked by Essentially Sports’s Abantika Ghosh about his desire to play in the TGL, and he showed genuine enthusiasm, saying “Well, if I was allowed… I think it would be interesting. I think TGL has an interesting opportunity, I’m all about anything to grow the game, so if it’s helping grow the game, then fantastic”.

One fan said, “This is a bit silly.” while the other bluntly wrote, “He’s lied before, though.” Well, fans aren’t completely wrong to be worried about what DeChambeau said about rejoining the PGA Tour, as he has pledged his loyalty to the tour in the past as well, and we all know how that turned out. In 2022, after Dustin Johnson reaffirmed his commitment to the PGA Tour, DeChambeau posted a statement on his social media, stating: “As long as the best players in the world are playing the PGA Tour, so am I.” However, given his history of being linked to the breakaway Saudi League, with reports of a staggering $240 million offer to be its poster boy, fans are right to question the sincerity of his words. After all, DeChambeau had previously denied rumors of him joining the Saudi-backed league, only to eventually make the move to LIV Golf.

Though, there were a few fans who seemed to get why DeChambeau said what he said as one of them wrote, “Saying what he should, what do you expect.” Well, this is what the fans on the internet are thinking about the whole LIV defectors rejoining the PGA Tour and it is too soon to say anything solid.
