Before passing, Kultida was there to see her son’s team win beautifully against Boston GC on January 27. Mother-son duo even shared a beautiful moment. Tiger Woods, just like a little child, looked up at his mum, smiled wide, and yelled, “Hey, Mom! Not gonna s**k tonight!” And he did not. His team won with a 4-3 overtime victory. So, the day 7 action was extra emotional for the 15x major winner.
The New York Golf Club took on Tiger Woods’s Jupiter Links Golf Club. NYGC won their first match in a one-sided affair as Jupiter Links succumbed to them, with the score being 10-3. Despite the loss, the match holds significance as Woods made his first competitive appearance in Florida today. He was dressed up in casual jeans, and a T-shirt, and looked very relaxed.

Fans express support for Woods’s TGL appearance
For at least three generations of golfing fans, Tiger Woods was synonymous with success. The Florida resident has won 82 PGA Tour Titles, during his time on the course as well as 15 Major titles. His influence on the game of golf can be comparable to Michael Jordan in basketball or Wayne Gretzky in ice hockey. Woods was the face of the sport for more than two decades and some would argue that he still is. Just ask his fans. “The Goat has arrived!” exclaimed one ecstatic fan eager to see him in action for the first time since January 27.
The Big Cat was snapped coming into the arena looking like he meant business. His serious attitude meant that he was in his competition mode. One fan acknowledged the mental resilience shown by the Americans over the years, despite going through some of the toughest moments of his career. “I cannot understate how impressive it is that he has lived his entire adult life with a camera in his face,” said another.
Woods came into the arena sporting a white ‘Sun Day Red’ tee, along with blue jeans and black sunglasses. He was also wearing a white cap that had the Jupiter Links Golf Club’s logo on it. His apparel drew significant praise. “Tiger-making dad jeans look cool lol.” While his general appearance was praised, a lot of fans felt that the sunglasses were out of place. “[Tiger Woods] can stay, but the glasses have to go.”

He teed up with Kevin Kisner and Tom Kim. Max Homa, his other teammate, will be sitting this one out. Before the match, Jupiter Links placed fourth in the six-team league above Rory McIlroy’s Boston Common Golf and current opponents New York Golf Club. Woods and Co. were looking to jump up the table with a victory. They had the fans right by their side “Jup Links! LFG!”
However, it was not to be as the New York Golf Club relied on spectacular performances by Rickie Fowler, Matt Fitzpatrick, and Cameron Young to dispatch Woods’s squad.
