The move has made most of the Tour fans mad at the players. Despite being a non-golf fan, the famous American radio and TV show host, Howard Stern, was no different.

Howard Stern on the golfers accepting the LIV Golf money!

Stern hosts a radio show on the SiriusXM where he called out Mickelson and other LIV Golf players for “selling out” to “real pieces of s**t.” The talk show host expressed his rage towards the players for taking offers from the government, which is under fire for violating human rights

“They’re real pieces of s**t, and they got a lot of money. So, it allows them to be pieces of s**t on a big level,” he said. Stern firmly expressed how he despises the golfers, the league, and its sponsoring government throughout his radio program.

Stern even replayed the time Mickelson addressed the human rights violations’ accusations on the LIV Golf sponsors. When he said, “I don’t condone human rights violations,” Stern was quick to chime in with a “but I’ll put up with it for $200 million” comment.

How much did LIV Golf pay Phil Mickelson and others to play in its league?

Since its inception, the LIV Golf Invitational Series has faced nothing but controversies. Yet, the league began in London and is now at the second tournament in Portland. Mostly because of the $225 million purse offer and the contract deals.

Reportedly, the LIV Golf has paid about $200 million to Mickelson to play in the event. Meanwhile, the likes of Dustin Johnson and Bryson DeChambeau have received $100+ million as the appearance fee.

Notably, Phil Mickelson has cited the league’s “progressive format” as the reason to join the league. Bryson DeChambeau was one of the few to admit that he joined the league for money.

The PGA Tour and the DP World Tour have suspended the players from their events for joining the league. Yet, they have been losing more players to the Saudi Arabian money.
