John Daly is widely known for his amazing personality and his no-country club looks on the course. Daly is one of the most honest golfers in the community and has tons of fans worldwide. The 56-year-old plays on the PGA Tour and recently made his intentions clear about staying loyal to the Tour.

Daly has been very honest about his life with his fans. His followers enjoy tidbits about his personal life every now and then. Even ABC Sitcom fame George Lopez didn’t hesitate to share a story about his time with Daly.

Lopez narrated an interesting event with John Daly that shocked and made the listeners laugh at the same time.

The funny John Daly story

The American comedian was reminded of an incident while on an episode of a famous podcast with Jon Reep. He shared that Daly once drank 18 double shots of ‘Crown Royal’, a famous whiskey brand.

Lopez said that after drinking the shots, Daly burped out loud and it sounded “like a f***ing jet was gonna take off”. Jon Reep couldn’t stop himself from breaking down in a fit of laughter while Lopez continued to imitate Daly’s hysterical burp noise.

After that, Lopez got up and went to the waitress to say, “Listen, don’t give him anymore”. He asked the waitress to add some coke to Daly’s glass instead of filling it up with alcohol. But Daly told him, “Georgie… Don’t F***!”

Daly once got drunk during a PGA Tour

Daly’s drinking problem is nothing new to golf fans. The man once talked about his ease at drinking 35-40 beers a day, before downing a whiskey. However, the golfer has not limited his drinking habit off the course. He once took one in the locker room while playing on the PGA Tour.

“I went in the locker room and downed like five beers,… That is the only time I know that I ever drank during a round, and I played great.” Daly said in his documentary called ‘Hit It Hard’. He is one of the few players who is known more off the course than on it.
