It is not a secret that the American professional golfer John Daly loves Hooters. If not playing golf, he has often spotted either conducting fan service or spending time at one of the chains of Hooters. Furthermore, he is also known for promoting the restaurant through his social media. 

The 1991 PGA Championship winner recently shared a news article about Hooters through Instagram stories. However, it was not a promotional post but something he found good about his favorite restaurant chain.

Hooters announced on Monday that it has signed with 51 college football offensive linemen to name, image, and likeness deal from teams across the country. “Wings & Football… Yes!! What a better place… the family is growing!” He wrote as she shared the pleasant news with his fans. 

“We are going to need more wings for these boys!!!” his post further read“Congrats to our new Wing men!” Interestingly, most brands or companies try to sign with individual athletes. However, the restaurant chain chose to do it with offensive line groups. Hooters announced that it has signed with players from college teams, including Auburn, LSU, Oklahoma, Miami, Georgia Tech, Missouri, and Texas. 

How long has John Daly been a part of the Hooters? 

If you are a Daly fan, you would know his love for the Hooters. He has also been an ambassador for the brand for a long time. However, the two-time major tournament champion received an official partnership only at the beginning of 2022.

Notably, his son, John Daly II, who is also a golfer and plays on the amateur level, also got an official deal with the Hooters along with his father. The two received the deal after the 2021 PNC Championship in December. John Daly and Little John won the unofficial father-son event against teams, including Tiger Woods and his son.

What does NIL deal with Hooters mean? 

The Hooters have signed a NIL deal with the 51 football offensive linemen. According to it, the players will have to star in social media campaigns, make special appearances at Hooter locations, and wear brand apparel.

Notably, Daly and his son also signed the NIL contract with the Hooters. Little John, who is still an amateur player, will have the same responsibilities as the offensive linemen. However, Daly will also use a Hooters orange golf bag with a retro Hooters logo on the PGA Tour Champions.

Although Daly received an official partnership with Hooters now, he has been having a great relationship with them for a long time. And he is now happy that his favorite brand has given a better opportunity for the offensive linemen with their new partnership.
