Soon after controversies about the golf legend started to hit the road, Tiger Woods reportedly fired Williams for unspecified reasons. The world made various assumptions about the situation. However, Williams once revealed how he lost all respect for Woods before the golfer fired him.

Williams was not just a caddie, but also a friend to Woods and Nordegren. And after he discovered what had been going on in Woods’ life away from his marriage, he was shocked. As mentioned in his book “Out of the Rough”, Williams explained how he spoke about his thoughts on Woods at the right time.

I took the opportunity to let people know how hard it had been for me over the previous 18 months and how Tiger had failed to earn back my respect following his adulterous behavior,” he wrote. Reports suggest that Woods fired Steve Williams after he agreed to caddie for Adam Scott at the US Open. However, some also believe that Woods’ let Williams go because of their ruined relationship.
