For a long time, golf has been a man-dominated game but the arrival of some immensely talented and strong players like Babe Zalatoris, Inbee Park, Annika Sorenstam, and others changed the future of women in golf. Sorenstam and the others have been the change makers who opened the door for ladies in golf and fought hard to maintain it.

However, it was no easy job for them. A recent post shared by the Annika Sorenstam Foundation shares how the legendary golfer who herself faced fears and low morale on the course would deal with them. Sorenstam reveals that she would have special messages hidden for herself that would help in motivating her.

She says, “I would write messages under my hat that only I could see and one of them was ‘Face your fear’. I believe a lot of us have different fears in life that make us uncomfortable but it is important to learn how to process and deal with that fear so it doesn’t stop you from reaching your goal.”

Even the people who are a champion of their trade would face fear which is only human. But Annika’s method of dealing with that stress is extraordinary. Recently, she achieved a massive milestone.

It is only a couple of days ago that Sorenstam added another big achievement to her resume. She has been included in the Augusta National Golf Club by the chairman Fred Ridley. About including Annika, Ridley said, “I’ve known Annika for quite some time, and I think she is going to be a great addition to the club. I can tell you, she can still play, and she was just a delight to be with. We have a number of women members and we have for quite a few years. I think it made us a better club, and they are an integral part of our culture.”
