This year Netflix introduced a one-of-a-kind cup including four F1 drivers from docuseries Formula 1: Drive to Survive and four PGA Tour professional golfers from Full Swing. In the quartet, Max Homa was one member. He was paired with Formula 1 driver Alexander Albon from Williams Racing.

The Netflix Cup had Alex Albon and Max Homa against Pierre Gasly and Tony Finau as Collin Morikawa withdrew at the eleventh hour. The duo could not win the cup, however, they built a nice camaraderie in a short period as the latest updates from Homa’s social media give an insight into the closeness of the pair.

The Netflix Cup was telecasted live on 16th November and the pairs of F1 Drivers and pro-golfer were fighting against each other in an 8-hole format. The scramble format was adapted to get F1 drivers’ involvement in the game.

In the match between Max Homa and Alex Albon vs Pierre Gasly and Tony Finau, on the 8th hole, Homa and Albon struggled to the lead away from their opponent and lost the match. The cup was at last won by Homa’s pal Justin Thomas and F1 Driver Carlos Sainz.

However, the pairing of the two athletes resulted in a budding friendship. While Albon is racing at the Heineken Las Vegas Grand Prix, Homa decides to pay him a visit. The pair had a reunion moment as Homa shared the photos on his Instagram story and called Albon the “Nicest guy ever.”

While also thanking the F1 Driver for everything; Albon let him sit in his car. The Nedbank Golf Challenge winner recalled the “Netflix dream team” and posed for photos of Albon and other Netflix Cup team members.
