The British Grand Prix at Silverstone Circuit saw one of the craziest races in a while. Lewis Hamilton raised the British flag once more after a win drought of 945 days. His opponent, Max Verstappen was only a second behind him. The Silverstone’s race course was earlier announced to be his very last home race with Mercedes, and now it ended with a blast! To witness something so grand, reached one of the consistent and persistent British golfers, Tommy Fleetwood. And here’s how he enjoyed the event.

The present OWGR 11th golfer, Fleetwood shared a series of photos that he took at the Formula 1 event. However, all the photos were taken with some of the biggest names in the F1 world, including one of the Red Bull racing beauties. Along with the photos, in the caption, the golfer wrote, “Such a cool day at Silverstone yesterday with @tagheuer and @redbullracing!! Congratulations @lewishamilton. Another great day of British sport!! 🇬🇧.”

Fleetwood was seen with racers like Mexican driver Checo Pérez, and the currently top-ranked F1 driver, Max Verstappen, the runner-up of the event. Moreover, he also shared photos of himself smiling next to English Rugby player, Owen Farrell and the Heartstopper English actor, Kit Connor. Last but not least, he also got a snapshot with the Principal of the Red Bull Racing, Christian Horner.

Tommy Fleetwood understands how Hamilton has made their home country proud again. With an opportunity ahead of him, Fleetwood is also getting ready for the Open Championship, which kicks off on July 18th at Royal Troon. Previously, in 2019, he had finished as a runner-up in the event. And in the last two seasons of the Open Championship, he has finished beautifully at T10 and T4 in 2023 and 2022, respectively.

Despite being one of the fan favorites, Fleetwood has yet to win his very first PGA Tour title. In this season’s concluded majors, Fleetwood maintained a good trajectory. Starting with Masters, he finished as second runner up, and then at Valhalla, he was T26, and at Pinehurst, his standing was T16. With the kind of performance this golfer has shown this year at the majors, one might think that he might just bring it home at Royal Troon.

Fleetwood might have received motivation from Hamilton’s play on the home tracks. When fans saw Fleetwood at Silverstone, they immediately came forward to wish him good luck in his own competitions.

The golf community boosts Fleetwood’s morale ahead of the Open

One of the fans commented, “The trappings for being a top player and person, Tommy, you saw a great race too 🏎️😃 Good luck in the open 🤞Keep listening to Phil.😉😂” They pointed at how Fleetwood has all the features of being a good person and player. Now that he has witnessed such a good race, the fan wishes him all the very best for his own. It will be another home course game for him at the Open Championship. They have also suggested how Fleetwood should be taking advice from Phil Keonen, One of the most renowned putting coaches. The duo had been seen together on many occasions before. Along with Fleetwood, this putting coach has also taught Rory McIlroy and Lee Westwood before. Thus, fans are speculating how important Kenyon’s guide will be at the Opens that Fleetwood needs.

“Glad you had a great day. Now back to business. It’s about time we had a home winner look nice next to the Euro Cup!” stated another fan. The fans have been rather straightforward with their demands. They suggested how they are happy to see Fleetwood enjoying another sport where they hail their nation; however, this fan wishes to have yet another British glory after the 2023 Ryder Cup win. Thus, he remarked that he wanted to see a home winner at the Royal Troon in about two weeks. Fleetwood is bestowed with the responsibility of being one of the leading English golfers.

Another fan wrote, “It was one of the greatest and most legendary races. You were lucky to be there, Tommy!!” The race at Silverstone had been one of the most heated. 39-year-old Hamilton won with three tires for the first time since 2021. He finished the race with 25 points after setting the game record at 1:22:27.059. Max Verstappen, was only 1.465 seconds late. He was followed by McLaren’s 24-year-old driver, Lando Norris. All in all, every fan had noticed their heartbeat going erratic. Such a race it was! Unlike F1, golf is a game that is supposed to be played slowly and steadily.

Someone else sarcastically asked, “No photos of your face when you got out of the hot lap car?” They insinuated that Fleetwood should have also tried taking part as a driver. The golfer had been struggling in his own game. Ever since he joined the PGA Tour, he has not won a single event to date. His latest participation in the Traveler’s Championship has been T15. However, the golfer has always been drawn towards F1.

Previous encounters with Lando Norris also surfaced on the internet. The two stars of their niche were seen battling in their own way. While Norris was racing in a buggy, the DP World Tour driver, golfer Fleetwood had a series of golf balls ahead of him. As the latter shot back-to-back swings, the F1 driver was speeding up the buggy in the DP World Driver vs Driver GP challenge!

Yet another fan noticed and humorously commented, “The expression on your face hasn’t changed in the slightest in any of those pictures; have you superimposed your head from one picture onto all the others?” In every photo that Fleetwood posted, his smile was as bright and genuine as A reputed and humble golfer like himself who did not hesitate to take photos with other celebrities in their distinct niche. The fan is shocked to see such an identical smile in all his photos, which portrays how happy he was to witness something so iconic.
