The LIV Golf fans haven’t stopped bickering? That’s what Billy Horschel thinks. According to the 37-year-old, while the PGA Tour supporters have chosen to bury the hatchet with the breakaway league, the LIV fans are still “taking shots here and there,” at the American circuit. Many LIV fans questioned Horschel’s statement. One of the questions caught Anthony Kim’s attention and the LIV Golfer chose to answer it, all while revealing how he has been subjected to hate comments online.

A fan page of the rebel league reposted Horschel’s statements and asked him: If the PGA Tour fans don’t degrade LIV Golf, then why does Anthony Kim receive hate when he only posts about golf and his family? To this question, AK replied and confirmed that since joining the breakaway circuit, there have been tons of hate comments aimed at him daily.

Kim is very much aware of the fact that his choice to resume his golf career with LIV Golf did not sit well with many PGA Tour fans, as they only once considered the 38-year-old as the next Tiger Woods. Anthony Kim went on to gracefully accept the reality and further in his comment shared what he considers to be important in his life: I bet the public wouldn’t believe the hateful messages I get but I understand that playing on @livgolf_league got people in their feelings. It’s ok I know what I signed up for. Trying to be a good son, dad, husband&friend while grindin golf are my only focus.”

Netizen back Anthony Kim to rise above the hate

Playing golf in and out just to receive hate from people might be one of the most difficult aspects of being a pro golfer. That too, after 12 years of not being the center of attention. One fan highlighted how Kim has been handling the situation with so much patience, which reflects his strong character, and urged him to focus on his game “Strength of character will always win-out over the haters. Play your game AK……..you play it well, said the fan. Another user cheered Kim by taking a shot at the haters, calling them out, and giving Kim one piece of advice. They said, “Social media is full of keyboard warriors living in momma’s basement. Put them on ignore and focus on the positive.”

Not long ago, Kim sat down for an interview and talked about his renewed love for golf. He also shared how his wife reignited his passion for golf and how he wants to make his daughter proud. This fan reminded AK of why he started and jumped on the haters and commented, “You’re an Amazing Human. F the haters you’re providing for your family. Playing golf again and taking advantage of a second chance. Go get it AK I’ll be rooting for you .” Kim joined LIV Golf as a wildcard and since his first event at LIV Jeddah, the 38-year-old has not been able to finish any of his event under par. Even at LIV Adelaide Kim ended with a total score of 6 over par. However, his dismal form on the greens has not wavered the confidence that his fans have in him and even expressed how they believe that Kim’s game has improved and motivated him to keep moving forward. “All good AK! Saw you hit a few shots yesterday. Still got it bro. Your 3 wood flight was 💰! Will follow you more today. Strong Sunday. Let’s get it!” Kim replied to thank the fan and said, “appreciate the support.”

It was surely a daunting task at first to revive his golf career and rejoin the professional circuit. However, coming back and taking hold of it was truly inspiring and this fan stated, “AK, you are an inspiration. If you had gone to the PGA these guys would probably be supporting you… or come to think of it… trolling you anyway. Some people are just so dissatisfied with their own lives, they insult people behind pictures of clowns or cars.” To which the 38-year-old pro said, “These are facts. No one will believe u.”

From career-ending injuries, addiction struggles, and numerous surgeries Anthony Kim has seen it all and has also triumphed over all of them. Now, Kim has entered a new phase in his life but the firey competitor is very much alive and does not back down when it comes to standing up for himself, especially in the face of hate comments.
