Recently, it was revealed how much Garcia made for a T-20 finish. The money he won was compared to that of a famous golfer’s share of the money after making a big achievement on the PGA Tour. It showed the disparity between the PGA Money and LIV riches.

Sergio Garcia: yet another recipient of the LIV Golf riches?

The Saudi-backed LIV Golf league has been known for more than one reason ever since its establishment. However, money remains one of the top ones.

The riches of LIV are not hidden from anyone following the evolution and change in the world of golf. LIV was known to make huge offers to top players in order to join the league. A few months after its establishment, it is now giving players, like Garcia, more money for a T-20 finish than the Tour is awarding players such as Patrick Cantlay for securing the second position at the Shriners Open.

Not only that, but the payout money won by many other players during the LIV Golf even in Bangkok was a whopping amount. Sergio Garcia received $924,286, whereas Patrick Cantlay received $712,000 for securing the second position at the Shriners Open.

Even though Cantlay achieved much higher success than Garcia did, the paycheck both players received does not align with this fact. LIV Money and its riches were not something hidden from anyone, however, as the moments are passing, the disparity is becoming clearer.

Garcia and his thoughts about how LIV is for young players

The intriguing query posed to Sergio Garcia concerned his thoughts on how LIV Golf has altered the landscape. In particular, what has changed for younger players? The most specific query was his viewpoint on how LIV is enabling young players to gain experience and compete without concern for money.

Garcia provided a prompt response to this excellent question. He said, “I think this is a great path. I was fortunate because I had a really good amateur career. I had a couple of decent contracts when I came out. But still, you have to perform every single week, and if you don’t, look what happened to Justin Rose.”

The pro golfer continued, “I think it’s huge. LIV Golf has given us that chance. Super proud that we have one of them on our team and already a winner. It’s amazing.”

Giving young talents the chance to develop and exhibit their potential is undoubtedly a major matter. Garcia’s remarks will, however, elicit a fair number of responses from the opposing camp in the golfing community. There will probably be no quick resolution to the LIV Golf vs PGA Tour debate.
