There seems to be a new golf series on the way. In an Asian Tour and Greg Norman collaboration, players will have a chance to compete in exactly ten events in an international series. Having said that, new series and events have been announced from time to time, many even trying to compete with the PGA Tour.
This recent announcement from the people on the Tour has had fans reacting online. With a lot of money involved, the series will be following along with the Asian Tour schedule. Norman’s investment in the project can only be seen as an interesting aspect, which is another point fans seemed to react to.

The new series will be a result of $300 million being invested by LIV Golf Investments. They are shareholders of the Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund (PIF) and will end up offering million-dollar cash prizes.
Naturally, fans have a lot to say about the new development.
But what about Asian Tour scheduling against Scandinavian Mixed? IMO that's the biggest news/threat here. IMO they're doing this to see how DPWT reacts RE releases. Has Henrik volunteered his own event as a pawn in the bigger game? Am I reading too much between the lines, or not?

Christ they're even holding events here now under the Arab banner. Some people will do anything for a pound note.

Last night's story now confirmed by Greg Norman. I don't particularly think this 10 event series will or should worry the DP World or PGA Tours. https://t.co/3jmk5gaTf7

An extremely BOLD move by Greg Norman and his LIV Golf crew to stage an Asian Tour event in England, in June. Over to you DP World Tour, golf's battle lines are being drawn. Watch this space….

Greg Norman has a weird idea of "fair and equal competition." There's an event taking place in Saudi Arabia this week that nobody – including players – would care less about but for $$$$ in appearance fees. Hardly the epitome of competitive spirit.

Greg Norman a little off the mark in the Asian Tour Intl Series announcement … “Where did Hideki play? The Asian Tour. He won the Asian Amateur.”

Though it can be seen as a rival series to the PGA Tour or DP World, users believe it will be no problem for them. Many seemed to wonder if it was all for money, not happy about how it would affect the competitive spirit of the game as a whole. Fans also believe people might just attend these events because of the monetary value.
The list of players competing in this series and its events is yet to be revealed.
