With a valuation exceeding $500 million, Tiger Woods’ TGL has officially launched, revolutionizing the golf industry and redefining the business of sports entertainment as a whole. With promotions rolling out left and right, it’s clear TGL is making sure it keeps up with the hype. Driven by an influencer-focused marketing plan and with millions being spent on marketing alone, TGL is setting new standards in the sports biz world.
Now, in an era where so many golfers have turned into influencers, why look anywhere else for marketing? Well, TGL hasn’t hesitated to tap into that pool, collaborating with some of the biggest names in the influencer world. Tiger Woods teamed up with one of the biggest YouTube golf stars, Grant Horvat. Even Roger Steele gave a shoutout to the event on its Instagram in his own style, answering the question, “What happened to good old golf?” by summing it up as “Progress evolution.”
With all these influencers jumping on board, you might be wondering: where’s Paige Spiranac in all of this? After all, she’s got 4 million Instagram followers—her stance definitely carries weight. Well, TGL did not collaborate with Spiranac but she has finally shared her thoughts on TGL.

Taking to her X account, Spiranac wrote, “Watching the launch of TGL and I have to say it’s fun to see the guys more relaxed! I think we will really get to see their personalities shine in this format.” She saw the inaugural match between New York GC, and the Bay Golf Club, and was elated to see the different, not-so-serious persona of the golfers that the world gets to see on the golf course. So, while it’s not a formal collaboration, it’s clear she’s intrigued by the league’s potential.

She even dropped a comment on a video ESPN shared of Tiger Woods practicing at the TGL simulator, stating, “This looks better than expected! Are you going to tune in?” While she may not be an official collaborator, one thing is for sure: Spiranac is definitely doing her part, regardless. As for the league’s promotion, though, Woods and Rory McIlroy are leaving no stone unturned.

TGL is working hard to keep up the buzz
Golf’s getting a makeover, and TGL is leading the charge. This isn’t just any tournament—it’s an indoor, tech-driven league designed to bring golf to a whole new generation. Now, while Spiranac’s absence from the TGL influencer roster is definitely noticeable, it’s interesting to look at the influencers who are on board and the creative ways TGL is engaging with fans.
Take tech influencer Marques Brownlee (MKBHD), for example. He has been giving fans an exclusive look behind the scenes at the SoFi Center, showing off the high-tech tools that power TGL. He’s pretty pumped about the whole thing, saying, “It’s really exciting to see how Best Buy and TGL are using technology at SoFi Center to bring golf to new levels for sports fans.” He adds, “With technology at the center of the league, I can’t wait to see how it brings people a new way to watch and experience the game—whether they’re watching in person or at home.”

Then there’s Roger Steele, who’s bringing his signature energy. His style is the perfect match for TGL’s vibe, adding a whole new level of excitement to the experience. And if you’re wondering about the music, DJ Irie is on deck to mix some beats. Former NBA referee Derrick Stafford will be calling the shots (literally—there’s a shot clock), and PGA Tour’s Mark Russell will be the rules official, making sure everything runs smoothly. The ESPN commentators are also excited.
TGL is really nailing this blend of traditional golf and cutting-edge tech, all while drawing in a younger, tech-savvy audience who’s ready to experience the sport like never before.
