Recently, Bryson DeChambeau has been making waves in the golf world with his latest ambitious project. The two-time major champion has revealed his bold vision for the future of golf, aiming to make the sport more accessible and economically viable. A cornerstone of this vision is the creation of a sprawling multisport complex in his hometown of Modesto, California.

Named ‘The Center,’ the facility will include a state-of-the-art driving range, a golf course, residential areas, a community center, and more, offering a comprehensive space for both athletes and the community to come together and thrive. So, what do the experts think about DeChambeau’s ambitious plan? PGA Tour Insider Smylie Kaufman recently weighed in on the project in his latest YouTube video, and he’s clearly impressed.

Kaufman praised DeChambeau for using his resources to make a positive impact, particularly in his hometown community. “It’s hard to really know what every player from LIV has done from a charity standpoint,” Kaufman noted, “But DeChambeau’s efforts are a shining example of giving back.” Kaufman also commended DeChambeau for taking criticism for joining LIV Golf and turning it into something positive, saying “kudos to him” for his efforts.

Kaufman even referenced DeChambeau’s comments about his $125 million contract, saying “Bryson saying, ‘Yeah, I got $125 million and this is basically what I’m using to build this thing’…not that we’re not open to critique ever again for making this move.” The golf insider is particularly enthusiastic about DeChambeau’s commitment to making the sport more accessible. “Hey good for you for this is real this is not the sarcastic growing in the game this is real growing in the game so kudos to him,” Kaufman stated.
