An ex-convict will be playing on the PGA Tour. This may sound like a line from a book, but it is not! This is a shining reality for Angela Cabrera. Even though the PGA Tour is stringent with its rules and suspended the Brazilian golfer earlier, he is reportedly breaking out of it.
After spending more than a year in jail, Cabrera is set to come back on the greens next year in the 2024 season and will appear for the PGA Tour event. A source shared the news on X about the 2x major champ’s return.

Ángel Cabrera was sentenced to two years of jail time in July 2021 after the Brazil Police Department made his arrest in January 2021. The golfer was charged with domestic violence and other minor offenses by his two girlfriends. After being charged, the Brazilian golfer was suspended from the PGA Tour.
Having won the 2007 US Open and 2009 Masters on the Tour and lived the life many golfers dream of, the 47-year-old had shown his desire to come back after his release in August 2023 and repeat his past feats.
His hopes have become a reality, as just minutes ago, the news broke that Cabrera will presumably be making his return to the PGA Tour, as the Tour has reportedly lifted the ban. However, they have made it clear that the suspension would be further imposed if his criminal situation worsened.
