Ex-Caddie Steve Williams, Who Won 63 PGA Tour Titles and 13 Major Championships With Tiger Woods, Reportedly Earned THIS Much in 12 Years

The New Zealand native Steve Williams caddied for the legendary golfer Tiger Woods for more than a decade. He had assisted the G. O. A. T most of his championship titles worldwide. Williams had also helped some other talented golfers before and after Woods. 

Beginning in 1999, Steve Williams carried the bag of the 15-time major champion for 12 years until 2011. Woods fired his longtime looper, which came as a shock to Williams, and all golf fans. 

Although their ending was not on a good note, the two shared many memorable moments when they were with each other. Notably, it also helped Williams become one of the richest caddies in the world. 

How much did the longtime caddie of Tiger Woods make by working for him? 

Tiger Woods earned $88.3 million when he had Steve Williams as his caddie. Typically, the caddie would win 10% of the golfer’s share from a tournament, and Williams reportedly earned around $8.8 million from the 12 years he worked with the golf legend. 

Although the money is impressive, it is nothing compared to the stats the legendary duo put up. Williams has on the bag of Woods during his 63 victories on the PGA Tour. He is also known to have helped Woods win 13 of the 15 major victories in his professional golfing career.

Williams earned the least amount of money while caddying for Woods in 2011. He could only make $57,136 that year. On the other hand, the New Zealander earned $1,086,705 in 2007, the highest money he has ever earned in his career with Woods.

Notably, it was not the year the golfer won most of the tournaments. However, he won some of the important and highest purse-offering events in 2007, including a major, two WGCs, and the Tour Championship. Notably, Woods earned $10,867,052 in the 2007 season of the PGA Tour.

Steve Williams began his career as a caddie for a professional golfer when he was just 13. He has worked with top golfers like Greg Norman and Raymond Floyd before Woods. Furthermore, he caddied for Adam Scott and assisted him, win his first and only major event.

Williams earned a place in the Caddie Hall of Fame in 2014 for his contributions to golf. Notably, he retired from being the full-time caddie after his contract with Adam Scott ended.

Steve Williams had one of the most impressive careers as a caddie of a professional golfer. He helped Woods win the majority of his titles, and in turn, it helped him win millions of money!
