The English golfer Matt Fitzpatrick won his first major, the 2022 U. S. Open at the Brookline Country Club. But not before his fellow golfer threw away his putter and broke his irons! While most golf fans found his actions as an insult to the tournament, Paige Spiranac doesn’t share the same opinion.
“You’re definitely more traditional when it comes to like your views of how you want to see golf,” Spiranac said to Amanda Rose. The former professional golfer explained her viewpoints on Grayson Murray’s rage during the major. Notably, her ‘Playing a Round with Paige Renee’ co-host and golf analyst, Rose, was against Murray’s actions.

“He has everything that I want in a villain,” Spiranac added. The 29-year-old explained that she enjoys a bit of controversy during a golf tournament. “You don’t want everyone to be robots out there,” she further added.
Paige Spiranac admits she will miss having the LIV Golf players on the PGA Tour!
“You need people like a Brooks and a Patrick Reed and a Bryson, and a Grayson to mix it up,” Spiranac stated. “To do things that are different.” Notably, Brooks Koepka, Patrick Reed, Bryson DeChambeau, and Grayson Murray are known for creating fire in the otherwise gentleman’s sport.
The golf world still remembers the time when Reed allegedly cheated in the 2019 Hero World Golf Challenge. During the practice swing, the golfer cleared the sand behind his ball to get room to hit the ball out of the bunker. The incident caused a lot of chaos in the golf world.
Similarly, how can one forget the great Koepka-DeChambeau professional duel? A private Match was needed to settle the back and forth trash talks between the two young golfers. The Twitter feud between Grayson Murray and Kevin Na was also an interesting event for the Tour fans.

Spiranac loves a good club throw but doesn’t want too much of it!
The former professional golfer wants the Tour players to be expressive on the course. “I just want to see more…,” she further stated. “I don’t want everyone to look like that.”
According to Paige Spiranac, a golf tournament needs some entertainment aspects. The game is long. And the golfer thinks that it needs something other than a robotic response from the golfers to cheer up or engage the audience. What are your thoughts on it?
