Nelly Korda is currently on the course for her first-ever time playing in the Hanwha LIFEPLUS International Crown tournament. Fans are extremely excited as they watch the player debut at the prestigious event.
However, despite being one of the most talented golfers on the field, Korda recently opened up about how the extreme weather conditions are affecting her game. And according to her statements, it seems like the tough weather is an actual challenge for Korda and her fellow players to face during the game! But how is she dealing with it?

Korda, 24, has been showcasing her incomparable skills on the field since the beginning of the 2023 season. Although she had a pretty rough time last year and merely won the Pelican Women’s Championship towards the end, this year has definitely been a lot better for the golfer.

It hasn’t been a long time since Korda made a mark on the field once again with her commendable T6 finish at the JM Eagle LA Championship. And notably, the player is back in action at the 2023 Hanwha LIFEPLUS International Crown event.

Calling it “such a cool and unique event”, Korda seems pretty excited about representing the country. However, despite all her amazing talent and golfing skills, Korda is only human at the end of the day. And like everybody else on the course, the tough weather conditions are proving to be equally hard to bear with for her as well. But when asked about her plans to deal with such an unusual atmosphere, she revealed two extremely important hacks to survive in the game despite the conditions.
“I’m a Florida girl and I get cold pretty easily,” she said. “I think making sure you adjust to the weather, clubbing up, talking to your caddie a little more with club selections, and staying warm is key.” Followed by her ‘staying warm’ tip, Korda also added how it was equally important to have patience during the game. “Everyone is kind of dealing with it, so you’re just trying to stay as patient as possible…Trying to stay warm and patient is the key this week.”

The well-known match-play tournament hosts a total of eight countries competing in teams of four players each. As per the rules, the teams are then divided into two groups of four teams each, followed by a four-ball competition between the top two from each group before the semifinals. For each match won, a team earns one point, while it only earns half a point for a tied game.
