Phil Mickelson is one of the most controversial golfers of all time. The golf star knows how to find his way to the headlines through his unexpected statements and unforeseen actions. He has been in the news ever since he joined the LIV Golf league and left his PGA Tour legacy. However, not all controversies he speaks about are started by him. He once made a few statements about the outer world and aliens talking about a famous incident from 1997.

Phil Mickelson opened up about his belief in life away from earth

During an interview, Phil Mickelson was talking about how his kids were very much into stuff from “outer space”. Catching his words, the interviewer asked Mickelson if he believed in aliens or other related things. And who knew that our own “prankster” would have such a firm belief about life outside the world?

Mickelson said that he wasn’t sure if there were any “aliens” or not. But he did mention an instance from 1997 that occurred in Phoenix. According to some sources, lights that came out of nowhere were spotted in the sky right above the Sky Harbor Airport. Mickelson said that the lights stayed there for “an hour”“Everybody saw them,” he said.

He also mentioned that he was living in Phoenix when the incident happened. And he ended his answer by saying that it was not very likely to think that there was absolutely no life out there.

Does Mickelson have a dinosaur head?

Sources say that Mickelson has a dinosaur head displayed in his home office. When the interviewer asked the golf legend about the artifact, Mickelson said“That was my birthday present from Amy”. He said it was a female dinosaur’s head according to what he was told. And surprisingly the golfer found it the coolest thing he had ever gotten.

He also said that he would sit in his office with his kids and talk about how the world would have been “68 million years ago.” Mickelson revealed that his eldest daughter Amanda wanted to be a paleontologist. Very few people know that Mickelson has much interest in such historic artifacts and also likes collecting them. Although he didn’t know how much the dinosaur head was worth, he mentioned having placed bids on it just for fun.
