Remember back in 2023 when Brooks Koepka admitted to having “buyer’s remorse” after joining LIV Golf? Big things are happening in golf and the spotlight is switched on at Koepka. He even questioned that decision, saying he was already “rethinking his career choice.” Netflix’s Full Swing documentary exposed his struggles, showing the fiercely competitive at rock bottom—losing at the WM Phoenix Open and missing the cut at the Masters.
His decision to leave for LIV seemed like a quick fix for his injured body, but could a return to the PGA Tour be on the horizon? Koepka’s four-year LIV contract ends in 2025, and no one knows exactly what will happen next. Will his suspension carry over into the 2026 season? With the PGA Tour and LIV reportedly nearing a merger, there’s speculation that LIV players might soon be allowed back into PGA events, possibly as early as next month at The Players Championship. Recently, Koepka made a surprise appearance at the TGL event, hanging out with PGA Tour stars Max Homa and Tom Kim.
Was he just a spectator—or was he testing the waters for a potential return? Koepka’s focus on major wins could make a return to the PGA Tour even more enticing if the opportunity arises. But guess what? Looks like all of these were just rumors. Well, for starters, the SoFi Center is in Florida, pretty close to where Brooks Koepka lives. Given that it is a newly launched league, with new techniques, the LIV Golfer just wanted to have a first-hand experience of it. How do we know? He recently appeared on the Joe Pom Show, and when asked about his involvement, he denied it.

“I’ve always kept a good relationship with everybody, and I still have those good relationships. Everything’s always been pretty easy for me, as I’ve maintained strong connections on the player side, with management, and with the PGA Tour. They’re going to do what they’re going to do, and I can’t control it. I have no involvement in it, so I just stay away from it all. When it comes to the future of professional golf, everyone always asks that question. If I were in the room, I’d give my opinion, but I’m not in the room,” he said.

Well, guess what? Was this not already coming? Brooks Koepka had time and again stated that his sole aim would be waiving off his Major drought. He has nothing else on his mind.

Brooks Koepka’s obsession with Majors
Since joining LIV Golf in June 2022 with a reported nine-figure signing bonus, Brooks Koepka has claimed just one major victory—the 2023 PGA Championship at Oak Hill. While becoming the first LIV golfer to win a major was a significant achievement, his performances in the 2024 majors fell short of his high standards, with no finish better than T26. As the 2025 major season approaches, Koepka has made his goals clear, offering a brutally honest take on what defines success for him. “Four majors are where it’s at. It’s what you’re remembered by in history,” he said during an interview.
He didn’t hold back when discussing his unwavering focus on the sport’s biggest events, drawing a parallel to basketball legend Michael Jordan’s legacy: “Nobody asks MJ how many regular season wins he had.” This insight into Koepka’s mindset shows why he views regular tournaments as little more than preparation for golf’s grandest stages, with the major victories taking precedence above all else. Do you think entering with this mentality, he will be able to acquire a Major victory this year? Stay tuned to find out!
