Golf is full of unpredictable moments. You never know which way the ball will turn on the golf course. It is especially frustrating when the golf ball reaches the edge of the hole and then refuses to drop in. This is what happened with Thorbjorn Olesen recently.
The Danish professional golfer, who plays on the DP World Tour aka the European Tour, had a not-so-pleasant moment on the grass. The 2016 Turkish Airlines Open champion almost putt the ball, missing it by a whisker. The official page of the DP World Tour on Instagram has posted a video clip of the incident, to which fans have reacted.

The video is captioned, “A full horseshoe for @thorbjornolesen🫣”. It has received several reactions from fans. “No way,” said a fan who was very disappointed.
“Brutally lucky, the pace was crazy fast,” said a fan, while another questioned, “Brutal? The dope hit it too hard”. Another fan added, “Yeah it’s called hitting it too hard and it didn’t fall because of pace. Nothing brutal about it.”
A fan was direct when he wrote, “I actually feel sick”. Meanwhile, another fan quipped, “10feet past if it wasn’t for the hole.”

All said and done, the ball didn’t go in. There was a fan who was not so negative about it, though. He wrote in Spanish, “Que de gracias, se pasaba” (What a blessing it was).
No major wins yet for Olesen
The DP World Tour player has had no remarkable victories from the other major tours as of now. However, Olesen has recorded triumphs at the DP World Tour at least seven times, including at the 2012 Sicilian Open, the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship in 2015, and the 2018 Italian Open.
Moreover, he also registered a win at the 2018 Ryder Cup with his European team. This was a turning point for the former Nordic Golf League golfer.
