This is a phenomenal Sunday for Brooks Koepka who flew to Jeddah this week with a lot of baggage. Not only was he carrying the sting from his Ryder Cup which showed in his game but he also had the giant tension of losing his younger brother to relegation.

But Sunday eased all his worries as Koepka emerged as a second-time winner at the event. And this is the first time that the five-time major winner has won a tournament after becoming a father. Realising the fact he made an emotional confession.

2023 is no less than a fairytale for Brooks Koepka. Despite signing with LIV he won a major championship and also played in the Ryder Cup. On the personal front, he welcomed his first child, Crew with his wife into their life. The new changes added more shine to his stars that were already shining. 

Two months after his child’s birth, his father won the second tournament of this year and his first as a dad in LIV Jeddah. After winning the event he was questioned about the same. A reporter asked Brooks, “You have won your first event as a dad. What kind of emotions are you going through right now?”

Koepka who was visibly in an emotional state answered “I never thought of that. That’s pretty cool. Yeah, I am excited to get home. Go see Cre. Go see Jenna. I know. I mean I am kind of emotional right now. Think about it. It’s a cool feeling. I am super excited.”

While talking about his family he had a sweet smile on his face. Koepka successfully defended his win of last year and his wife is there to support him.

Brooks’ wife Jena Sims is his biggest supporter. Though she has always made it to the match Koepka is playing, since Crew’s birth she is staying back to take care of their son and can’t go to Jeddah with him.

However, she still makes sure to cheer on her husband and his latest accomplishments. She made sure to catch the broadcasting of the event and shared in her Instagram stories a clip of Brooks gushing over Crew in the presser.

After Brooks won she quickly shared another story with a picture of him and wrote ‘Daddy Defender.’ The love and support that the couple has for each other is adorable.
